Sonobond Ultrasonics’ Advanced HMI delivers data-driven capabilities for metal welding
Sonobond Ultrasonics has introduced its Advanced HMI with Smart Touchscreen. It offers access to four welding modes (time, energy, height, and height with energy); real-time monitoring and adjustment of energy, power, preheight and final-height weld parameters; sequential job selections to run multiple, separate jobs consecutively; feedback on weld results; and a weld history log that saves data on the last 1,000 welds.
Using the patented Wedge-Reed System, the HMI can be incorporated into any of the manufacturer’s ultrasonic metal welders. Features include operator, manager, and administrator levels; an alarm that prevents the welder from continuing after three consecutive failed welds; diagnostics for troubleshooting; onscreen manuals and help files; and alerts for maintenance.
