WSI MFDC resistance welder includes fast rise time transformer
Weld Systems Integrators Inc. has introduced the FRT-MFDC (fast rise time, mid-frequency direct current) press-type resistance welder. The machine is designed for welding applications that require short weld times and high welding current.
According to the manufacturer, the machine offers reduced life cycle cost, improved process control for welding coated parts, weld nugget management, minimized HAZ, and reduced primary power requirements.
Applications include ring projections, weld-through sealers, hot-dipped materials, galvanized steels, hot-stamped boron materials, aluminum, nut and stud welding, and HSLA steels.
