Castolin Eutectic releases new-formulation welding wire, electrode
Castolin Eutectic has introduced EnDOtec DO*327, a new-formulation welding wire, as well as the new electrode EutecTrode 6327 XHD for rebuilding and wear-facing applications.
The products offer a sustaining hardness of up to 550 degrees C and deposits that are slag- and spatter-free, the company reports. They offer multiple pass and coatings that are crack-free up to 15 mm thick.
Other features include increased precipitation of ultrahard cubic carbide phases, which are dispersed finely within a matrix that is extremely tough. The abrasion resistance has been improved and substantiated by test results from ASTM G65 and G99, the company says.
