Contact tips reduce downtime for tip changeovers
Tregaskiss has introduced TOUGH LOCK™ HDP contact tips, designed to extend contact tip life in pulsed GMAW applications. Engineered with an alloy that provides high resistance to wear and arc erosion, the contact tips last six to 10 times longer than copper and chrome zirconium tips, according to the manufacturer.
A tight bore tolerance helps increase arc stability to improve weld quality and reduce spatter. The contact tips can be used with 0.035-, 0.040-, and 0.045-in. solid copper-coated wires.
