Hardsurfacing electrode designed for high-temperature applications

Select-Arc Inc. has introduced a chromium carbide alloy electrode that can be used in hot-wear applications up to 1,100 degrees F.

SelectWear 60HC is a metal-to-earth wear welding wire that deposits an alloy composed of a high density of primary chromium carbides in an iron matrix. This hardsurfacing electrode for severe wear applications offers a deposit with high abrasion and moderate impact resistance that relieves itself by cross cracking.

Available in six diameters from 0.045 to 1/8 in., the electrode is used in hardsurfacing applications such as grinding/pulverizing rolls and table segments, wear plates, clad pipe, dredge pipe shells and related components, and hammers.
