Lincoln Electric’s Excalibur 7018 XMR stick electrode offers low moisture content after 24 hours of exposure

Lincoln Electric has introduced the Excalibur 7018 XMR low-hydrogen stick electrode. According to the company, if offers low moisture content even after 24 hours of exposure, remaining below the moisture content limit for 15 hours more than required by AWS A5.1.

The electrode is suitable for such general fabrication applications as structural, pipeline, chemical processing, and shipbuilding. The rod coating maintains integrity when bent for welding in tight spaces to a greater extent than similar competitive rods, the company reports.
