Tubular hardfacing electrodes offer high abrasion resistance
- May 25, 2016

Postle Industries offers tubular hardfacing electrodes for severe abrasion applications and those involving high heat or impact. The tubular design allows for a greater volume of carbides than ever before for increased abrasion resistance, says the manufacturer.
Available in ¼, 3/8, and ½ in., the electrodes’ construction allows them to be used in any standard electrode holder at lower currents than conventional electrodes, resulting in less penetration. This produces less distortion, less burn-through on thin materials, and less dilution with the base metal, says the company. Six alloy grades are available.
