Tungsten electrode addresses concerns of radiotoxic thoria

Huntingdon Fusion Techniques® says its MultiStrike® tungsten electrodes were designed to address the growing concerns about the radiotoxic thoria present in standard red-tipped tungsten electrodes.

The electrode reportedly strikes an arc 10 times more than a red-tipped thoriated tungsten when tested under identical conditions.

Suitable for various welding operations, the electrodes are particularly suited for AC and DC welding of titanium, stainless steel, and aluminum in applications such as aerospace, petrochemicals, and automotive.

Each electrode packet carries total traceability identification.
