Weldcote, a division of Zika Group, has introduced its line of copper-coated mild steel filler metal for general welding applications. The ER70S-6 wire is available in spools for GMAW and cut lengths for GTAW. The wire produces optimum flow and a consistent welding arc, according to the company.

The wire contains higher levels of silicon than other standard grades of GMAW wire, providing excellent tolerance against rust and scale and producing high deposit strength, says the manufacturer. It is suitable for automated welding, which requires higher tolerances.
