Lincoln Electric® has introduced the PRISM™ fume extraction system. The 45- by 45-in. reduced-footprint fan/filtration combination unit lowers the amount of warehouse space needed, allowing the system to be close to the application.

The four-bank, vertically positioned filter configuration provides extraction capacity for any automated system equipped with a hood, or it can connect to plasma cutting tables. The vertical alignment allows for more even dispersal of particulate, the company reports.

The system automatically starts the pressure-based filter cleaning process once preset pressure differentials are reached. When the air pressure reaches a certain perimeter, the automatic cleaning system is engaged, causing bursts of air to pass through the filters and push particulate outwards and downwards into the extraction bin.
