Protem has introduced the OCM orbital cutting and beveling machine, which combines the OD ranges of several different machines into one. This portable machining unit is designed to cut and bevel tubes and pipes from 6 in. OD and no limit for maximum diameter. It handles wall thicknesses up to 2 in. using an adjustable chain system.
The independent cutting and beveling blades are entirely adjustable to perform bevels without changing accessories. Designed to be portable with OD clamping, the machine performs cold cutting and I and V bevels from 0 to 90 degrees. It handles all types of materials, including carbon steel, chromium, stainless steel, duplex, superduplex, copper-nickel alloys, INCONEL® alloy, P91, aluminum, and nearly all exotic alloys. The unit is available with hydraulic or pneumatic motorization.
