Austrian builder of ultrahigh-resolution 3D printers opens U.S. office

UpNano GmbH has established an office in Boston to sells its two-photon-polymerization (2PP) 3D printing systems to the U.S. market.

Erika Bechtold, vice president of operations, will head the office. She currently is director of technology commercialization at Harvard’s Office for Technology Development, which supports the university’s Wyss Institute. “It’s such a great opportunity at a time of noticeable growth in the 2PP 3D-printing markets,” she said.

UpNano’s first commercial product, the NanoOne, reportedly 3D-prints polymeric part features and parts from 170 nm to several centimeters high. Maximum throughput is 200 mm3/hr.
