GE Additive Education Program awards machines to universities and colleges

GE Additive has announced the five universities in Europe and the U.S. that will receive a Concept Laser Mlab 200R additive manufacturing machine from its Additive Education Program (AEP). The machines, worth more than $1.25 million in total, will be delivered in Q1 2019.

The company received more than 500 proposals from universities and colleges worldwide. The higher-education institutions selected to receive a machine are:

  • Coburg University of Applied Sciences and Arts, Germany
  • University of Limerick, Republic of Ireland
  • Calhoun Community College, Alabama
  • University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
  • West Virginia University
