Inventor of AMBIT additive manufacturing head for CNC machines to offer parts-building service

Hybrid Manufacturing Technologies, developer of the AMBIT additive deposition head that transforms a CNC machine into an additive/subtractive hybrid machine, has opened a subsidiary in the U.K. devoted to parts-making.

Called Hybrid Advanced Manufacturing, the operations performed by the new division include laser deposition of metal, extrusion of polymer and composite materials, machining, and parts inspection.

“We understand that many would like access to our technology but do not yethave enough demand to purchase their own system,” said the company’s founder, Jason Jones. “This new division furthers our mission to enable wider access to hybrid technology.”
