Tiertime offers large-format 3D printer
- July 12, 2021

- Additive Manufacturing
The new UP600 industrial 3D printer has a 400- by 500- by 600-mm build envelope. According to the manufacturer, Tiertime, that’s more than twice the size of its earlier-generation UP300.
Objects are printed inside a heated build chamber, which minimizes deformation caused by plastic cooling too quickly and absorbing naturally occurring airborne moisture in the process. Applications for the industrial-grade, filament-style printer include prototyping, short-run production, one-off fabrication, large-scale modeling, R&D, medical, architecture, and industrial tooling.
Following are key specifications for the UP600:
Printing technology: MEM (melting extrusion modeling)
Printhead: Single extruder, LT
Build volume: 500 by 400 by 600 mm
Filament diameter: 1.75 mm
Materials: ABS, ABS+, PLA, TPU, others
Nozzle diameters: 0.4 mm (standard); 0.5, 0.6, 0.8, and 1.0 mm (optional)
X, Y, Z resolution: 7, 7, 1 micron, respectively
Dimensional accuracy: ±0.1 mm/100 mm
Extruder temperature: < 300 degrees C
Extruder travel speed: < 200mm/sec.
Print speed: < 15.6 mm^3/sec.
