Two additive manufacturing vets open equipment reseller business

A new company devoted to selling AM equipment opened its doors Aug. 1. The Boston-based Ugogo was launched by industry veterans Frank Marangell and Steven Rizzo. Unlike other resellers, which tend to focus on design software, Ugogo’s business model is dedicated to selling AM products.

“3D printing technologies are rapidly advancing, but customers are not able to purchase the next generation of additive manufacturing solutions because many companies are not well-represented in the U.S. market,” said Marangell, the company’s CEO.

Initially, Ugogo will handle 3D printers from BCN, Big Rep, Photocentric, Raplas, Sintratec, and Roboze. It will concentrate its sales efforts on the core 3D printing markets, which include aerospace, automotive, dental, medical, and general manufacturing.
