XJet wins Technology Innovation Award for NanoParticle Jetting technology

XJet Ltd., Rehovot, Israel, has received a Technology Innovation Award from Frost & Sullivan in recognition of its NanoParticle Jetting™ technology for metal and ceramic additive manufacturing.

The technology uses a liquid dispersion process rather than powder-bed technology. According to the company, this provides a better-quality material with better density and greater design freedom for designers and manufacturers. Featuring a large build tray, the system eliminates high-energy lasers and fine metal powders, and materials are contained in enclosed cartridges.

According to Frost & Sullivan, with its ability to print different materials precisely, the technology will be beneficial for the automotive, aerospace, and robotics industries, where structures’ high strength-to-weight ratio or high strength-stiffness-to-weight ratio is critical.
