Xometry supplies quotes for die-cast, stamped, and extruded parts

Xometry connects customers needing parts with a network of U.S. shops that perform various manufacturing processes, including 3-D printing/additive manufacturing, CNC machining, injection molding, and sheet metal fabrication. The company, based in Gaithersburg, Md., recently added suppliers with die casting, metal stamping, and extruding capabilities to its network.

“This new offering allows us to serve additional needs for our customers, as well as the manufacturers in our partner network,” said CEO Randy Altschuler. The network comprises more than 2,500 shops.

Designers interested in receiving quotes from qualified shops can visit www.xometry.com to upload part files and specify part requirements. An RFQ then is sent to the national partner network. Interested shops respond within seven days. Designers can communicate directly with shops before making their selection. The software platform provides 24/7 access to instant pricing, expected lead time, and manufacturability feedback.
