Zare acquires majority stake in AM dental device company Proxera

Proxera is a longtime supplier of 3D-printed medical devices.

Zare, which joined forces last August with fellow AM service provider Beamit, has acquired a majority stake in the medical 3D printing company Proxera.

Proxera specializes in printing dental devices and will operate as an independent company controlled by Zare. Proxera’s dental expertise is expected to help Zare capture medical implant business.

Proxera is expected to help Zare capture medical business by 3D-printing acetabular cups used in hip-joint surgery and other implantable devices.
