BASF 3D Printing Solutions’ Forward AM division has launched a line of materials with Photocentric, a manufacturer of 3D printing equipment and photopolymer resin materials. The first two materials to hit the market are Ultracur3D EPD 1006 and Ultracur3D EPD 2006.

Parts printed from the resins reportedly demonstrate high stiffness and flexibility, allowing them to meet the needs of customers with demanding 3D printing jobs, like prototyping, engineering, and serial production of automotive parts.

The materials were developed for use with Photocentric’s Liquid Crystal Magna 3D printer, designed for large-volume, high-resolution applications.

Four additional resins are scheduled to be launched the Q1 2021.
