Beta version of Cura 5.0 additive manufacturing software released

Ultimaker Cura 5.0 can be used for more applications than earlier-generation versions.

3D printer manufacturer Ultimaker has made available for download a beta version of its Cura 5.0 software.

Compared to earlier versions of the free, open-source software for filament-style printers, 5.0 reportedly allows users to print stronger parts that can incorporate finer details and thinner walls. It also reduces build times by up to 20% and can be used for a wider range of applications.
