Company uses a proprietary technology for rapid injection molding

Empire Group USA says rapid injection molding is a good option for some prototyping and small production runs.

The Attleboro, Mass., shop, which offers 3D printing, CNC machining, injection molding, and forming services, says its proprietary rapid tooling technology allows it to 3D-print tools that meet high standards for surface finish, dimensional control, strength, and wear resistance.

The company reports it can deliver production-quality parts in days instead of weeks, even in challenging materials like GF nylons and Ultem. It also says its molds are cost-competitive with aluminum quick-turn tooling but have a shorter turnaround time.
