ExOne introducing 3D printer that produces fine-metal parts at production volumes

ExOne Co.’s soon-to-be released metal 3D printer, the X1 25PRO, combines the fine-metal capabilities of the company's metal-injection-molding (MIM) line with production-volume output.

The binder-jetting printer, one of two the North Huntingdon, Pa., company plans to bring to market in the first half of 2019, prints parts from stainless steels (316L, 304 L, and 17-4PH), Inconels (718 and 625), tool steels (M2 and H11), cobalt chromium, copper, and tungsten-carbide cobalt.
