Nexa3D introduces desktop 3D printer

3d printer

XiP printer from Nexa3D.

Like Nexa3D’s industrial NXE 400 and dental-focused NXD 200 3D printers, the new XiP desktop model for polymer parts is based on the company’s proprietary lubricant sublayer photo-curing (LSPc) technology.

According to the manufacturer, LSPc provides productivity gains of up to 20 times those of comparable SLA and DLP (digital light processing) systems.

The aluminum XiP—Nexa3D’s first desktop printer—features a 190 by 120 by 170 mm build envelope and 3.8-l print volume. The open-materials platform accommodates large builds—up to 1.3 kg—and has a toolless vat system that clamps into place with electromagnets, which simplifies and speeds material changeovers.

The company expects to begin shipping the XiP in Q2 2022.
