Rusal releases line of aluminum powders for 3D printing

Aluminum supplier Rusal America has expanded its product offerings to include additive manufacturing powders. Making up the new line are four traditional Al-Si-based casting alloys and five specialty alloys designed for use in the aerospace and automotive industries and for general industrial applications.

Reported characteristics of the line include:

• 100% pre-alloyed and fully metallic powders free of ceramic- or nano-inclusions.

• Powders atomized exclusively from ALLOW feedstock, Rusal’s low-carbon aluminum brand.

• All powders come with a third-party carbon-level certificate.
