Shining 3D launches 3D printer for large resin parts

After gaining years of experience building its EP-A650, EP-A450, and EP-A350 resin 3D printers, Shining 3D has developed the EP-A800 printer. The manufacturer recommends the new machine for prototyping, rapid molds, precision casting prototypes, sole molds, and orthodontic models, as well as certain mass-production applications.

The build volume of the new machine is 85% larger than the last-generation EP-A650.

Features of the EP-A800 include:

• an 800- by 800- by 450-mm build volume;

• a dual-laser configuration that reportedly increases printing speed 35% to 45%, compared to single-laser EP-A650;

• the patented VarioBeam Technology, designed for high positioning accuracy that promotes processing efficiency and high surface quality;

• adjustment accuracy within ±0.01mm; and

• a 00-level marble platform that improves motion accuracy and long-term stability.

The new EP-A800 resin printer from Shining 3D boasts an 85% larger build envelope than the earlier-generation EP-A650. Shining 3D
