TRUMPF 3D printer helps manufacturers move into mass production

The TruPrint 3000 3D printing system now can be fitted with a second laser, which nearly doubles its productivity, reports the manufacturer, TRUMPF.

Two 500-watt lasers scan the machine’s entire build chamber in parallel. This speeds production and enhances efficiency, regardless of the number and geometries of the parts, and allows customers to move into mass production, says the company.

The powder-bed-laser printer builds parts up to 300 mm in diameter and 400 mm tall. It can handle all weldable materials, including steels, nickel-based alloys, titanium, and aluminum.
