Waterjet removes extraneous materials from additively manufactured parts

3d printing

The scaWaterjet removes support structures during postprocessing.

Oryx Additive Inc.’s scaWaterjet removes coarse and fine support materials from 3D-printed parts during postprocessing. Users can plumb the system directly to pipes or use the included mobile tank and operate it as a stand-alone unit.

The system features a gasketed window with an internal-mount wiper blade assembly to ensure a clear view of the LED-illuminated work area and an ergonomically designed front cabinet and operator glove ports fitted with pressurized spray wands. The covered mobile support frame reportedly minimizes collection of shop debris and dust inside the cabinet.
