Roll forming machine offers changeover flexibility

Tru-Tech Tool & Machine Corp. has developed the Drop In Quick Change, a roll forming machine that allows three methods for changeover from one set of roll tooling to another.

In one method, the system removes individual raft plates with four stations each, complete with tooling. The second method removes existing shafts with rolls, spacers, and gear and replaces them with the next complete set of shafts, rolls, spacers, and gears. Ten stations take approximately 20 minutes for complete changeover. In the third method the system swaps out rolls and spacers using existing shafts and gears.

Another feature allows the user to float an entire station in seconds. The machine is designed for light-gauge CRS.
