Evana Automation ships two assembly systems to Tier 1 automotive supplier

Evana Automation Specialists, a systems integrator and builder of custom, automated assembly and test systems in Evansville, Ind., has shipped two custom assembly systems to a Tier 1 automotive supplier of fuel and braking fluid delivery components that will fabricate low-pressure fuel rail assemblies for two different parts.

Each system comprises seven lean workstations. An operator loads and unloads parts to and from a production nest. These parts include upper and lower housings, injector bosses, and fuel tubes and brackets. The workstations automatically perform pressing operations, crimping, and welding.

Both systems incorporate visual inspection technology at designated stations to verify the presence and proper attachment of various components.
