Adept appoints senior executives

Adept Technology Inc., Pleasanton, Calif., a provider of intelligent robots and autonomous mobile systems and services, has appointed four executives to its leadership team.
Larry Anderson joins the company as vice president of mobile sales, responsible for executing the company's mobile robot strategy on a worldwide basis. He has more than 25 years of high-tech sales and sales management experience, most recently with Aehr Test Systems as vice president of worldwide sales. Before that he held several senior sales management roles with Cymer, Advantest/Verigy, FormFactor, and Komag.
Merrill Apter joins the company as vice president of North American sales, responsible for driving sales in North America and expanding the company's distribution channels in Mexico and Canada. He has more than 20 years of sales, business development, and marketing management experience in high technology, industrial OEM, and capital equipment. Before joining the company, he was vice president of sales for Americas at Telesis Technologies Inc.
Terry Hannon has been hired as vice president of business development and corporate strategy. He is responsible for developing the company's long-term strategy and product roadmaps. He previously served as president and CEO of NP Photonics Inc., executive vice president at XSiL, and vice president and general manager at Coherent Inc.
Hai Chang has been promoted to vice president of Asia and strategic programs, overseeing the company's operations in Asia, Oceania, and South America. He most recently served the company as director of sales for the Americas and was responsible for establishing the company's subsidiary in China.
