Güdel appoints CEO

Güdel Inc., Ann Arbor, Mich., the U.S. subsidiary of Switzerland-based Güdel Group, has appointed Stuart “Stu” Shepherd as CEO following the retirement of Stefan Nilsson. Shepherd is responsible for the operations and performance of the U.S. and Canadian businesses.

Before joining the company, Shepherd was vice president sales, Americas, for Kuka U.S. Holdings Co. He currently serves as the first past chair of the Robotic Industries Association Executive Committee and is a board member for the Association for Advanced Automation.

A graduate of Purdue University, Shepherd has more than 37 years of automation industry experience in sales, marketing, engineering, operations management, customer service, and training.
