Center to assist businesses rebuilding Gulf Coast region

Commerce Secretary Carols M. Gutierrez established the Hurricane Contracting Information Center (HCIC) on October 11, 2005, to assist U.S. businesses, particularly minority, women, and small-sized firms, to participate in the Gulf Coast rebuilding efforts.

The HCIC provides the necessary information to participate in contracting, subcontracting, and reconstruction efforts. More information can be found at www.RebuildingTheGulfCoast.gov.

The HCIC also provides direct business counseling. Call the HCIC hotline at 1-888-4USA-DOC (1-888-487-2362) to speak to an agency representative for help navigating the federal contracting process.
