Fabricator Looks for Assistance

A Marinette, Wis.-based metal fabricating company is in need of help after seeing flames burn its three-story building and damage a majority of its equipment on Nov. 11.

“You spend six-and-a-half years building up a business to watch it go up in smoke, and then try and get stuff out,” Fabricators Plus employee Sheryl Vieth told WBAY television in Green Bay, Wis.

The company’s 10 employees are unemployed since the fire, and the company is struggling to rebuild because it didn’t carry insurance on any of its equipment. The company is asking for donations and any machinery the fabricating community might be willing to donate. Any welding equipment or gear, such as hoods, gloves, and sleeves, is especially needed.

Fabricators Plus can be reached at 116 E. Hosmer, Marinette, WI 54143, or at 715-732-9419.

To make a donation, contact The Stephenson National Bank & Trust, P.O. Box 137, 1820 Hall Ave., Marinette, WI 54143, or 800-924-1732.

Fabricators Plus employees are determined to rebuild after the devastating effects of the fire.

“We just know we’re going to come back stronger than what we were before,” employee Carrie VerKuilen said. “We’re going to do this. We’re not going to give up. This is our livelihood; we need to keep going.”
