Metals USA announces Building Product Div. leadership change

Metals USA Inc., a Houston-based metals distributor and processor, has announced the retirement of E.L. (Tom) Thompson. The company has appointed Robert C. McPherson III to replace Thompson as senior vice president and president, Building Products Group.

McPherson has been with the company since March 2003 in the capacity of senior vice president, business development. Before that he worked for California Steel Industries Inc. for 13 years and was treasurer and controller at the time of his resignation.
