FMA seeks participants for 2011 Financial Ratios & Operational Benchmarking Survey
- February 22, 2011
- News Release
- Shop Management
The Fabricators & Manufacturers Association, Intl. (FMA) encourages industry executives to participate in the 2011 Financial Ratios & Operational Benchmarking Survey that will provide comprehensive data for company owners and managers in the metal forming and fabricating industry.
The survey combines financial ratio details with additional operational data used to determine a company's financial health. Survey results will allow comparisons of liquidity, profitability, asset management, operational benchmarking, value proposition, and marketing effectiveness to other companies. Comparisons will be made based upon demographic similarities such as company size, sales volume, and type of company.
Executives can complete the survey online here: FMA 2011 Financial Ratios & Operational Benchmarking Survey. The deadline for survey completion is March 31, and survey results will be delivered electronically to participating companies in June.
"More company participation provides broader data and more valuable results," said Jim Warren, director of education and member services with the FMA.
Advantage-level FMA members who complete the survey receive the results at no cost. Basic FMA members can purchase the survey for $150 and non-members for $350.
The survey was prepared with review and recommendations from FMA's Management Advisory Council and the Precision Sheet Metal Users Group.
For additional information about the survey, contact Ginger Baerenwald at gingerb@fmanet.org or call 815-227-8219.
Based in Rockford, Ill., FMA is a professional organization with more than 2,100 members working together to improve the metal forming and fabricating industry.
Founded in 1970, FMA brings metal fabricators and fabricating equipment manufacturers together through technology councils, educational programs, networking events, industry trade publications including The FABRICATOR®, and the FABTECH® trade show. FMA also has a technology affiliate, the Tube & Pipe Association Intl. (TPA), which focuses on the unique needs of companies engaged in tube and pipe producing and fabricating.
