LIA Past President David Belforte to deliver opening keynote speech at LME 2016
David Belforte, lifetime member and past president of Orlando, Fla.-based Laser Institute of America and industrial laser applications pioneer, will provide the leading keynote address, a comprehensive overview of the industrial laser market, to kick off the fifth annual Lasers for Manufacturing Event® (LME®) at 11:00 a.m. on April 26 in Atlanta.
Belforte, editor-in-chief of Industrial Laser Solutions, is responsible for introducing high-power laser cutting in the U.S. His keynote addresses discuss such facets of the industrial laser market as energy generation, medical applications, electronic devices, agriculture, automotive, aerospace, and aviation.
The presentation will provide a global overview of the role of several different types of lasers and will spotlight this year’s market outlook to define trends and showcase opportunities for the future of lasers in manufacturing.
