TRUMPF to open technology center in Chicago area

TRUMPF Inc., Farmington, Conn., a manufacturer of fabricating equipment and industrial lasers, announced today at FABTECH 2015 that it is breaking ground on a new facility in Hoffman Estates, Ill., this week.

The location, which is scheduled to open in mid-2017, will serve as the TRUMPF Technology Center and the center of excellence for Industry 4.0. The 50,000-sq.-ft. center will feature the company’s diverse products with a strong focus on integrating automation, material, and information flow with machine tools.
