Mazak Corp. establishes scholarship for Cincinnati State engineering students

Mazak Corp., Florence, Ky., has provided $24,000 to the SME Education Foundation, Dearborn, Mich., for the creation of the Mazak Manufacturing Technology Scholarship. The scholarship is for students entering or currently attending Cincinnati State Technical and Community College, Cincinnati, Ohio, and pursuing a degree in engineering technology or mechanical engineering technology.

The scholarship provides funding for two full-tuition scholarships valued at $6,000 each for the 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 cycles. The application requires students to hold a minimum 2.0 GPA and provide a transcript, two reference letters, student essay, and resume. ACT or SAT scores are not required. The scholarship will be administered by the SME Education Foundation. Students may apply by accessing the SME Education Foundation's automated online scholarship application.
