Okuma America names controls product specialist

Charlotte, N.C.-based Okuma America Corp., a CNC machine tool manufacturer, has appointed Brad Klippstein as controls product specialist. He is responsible for educating and training customers and distributors about the company’s PC-based, open-architecture THINC®-OSP CNC.

The CNC is capable of integration with new generations of software and hardware technology. It enables access to almost any application and peripheral equipment, including factory management systems, and interfaces with bar code readers, bar feeders, robots, probes, and tool setters.

Klippstein previously worked as a controls engineer, programming and integrating FANUC 31i lathes, and most recently as a supervisor of CNC and electrical design engineering, providing technical and training support to engineering, sales, and service. He has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Toledo.
