Roll Machining Technologies adds milling center

Roll Machining Technologies and Solutions has added a Doosan DNM 650 milling center to its facility in Romeoville, Ill. The machine, equipped with a spindle motor, features an 18.5-kW, 12,000-RPM, direct-drive spindle; 30-position tool changer; the FANUC i-series control; and a 4.27- by 2.2-ft. table.

The machine features rapid traverse. Linear-motion guideways and high-speed servomotors apply high rapid-axis movement, reducing noncutting time and machining time. A through-spindle, high-pressure coolant system allows deep-hole drilling to reduce cycle times while keeping the workpiece’s structural integrity intact, states the company.
