Mate appoints marketing VP

Mate Precision Tooling, Anoka, Minn., has appointed Joseph Schneider as vice president of marketing.

Most recently Schneider was Mate's product engineering manager. He was the company's e-business manager before that. Schneider will apply his 10 years of experience in manufacturing and product design to his new position to further improve the company's customer-oriented approach to the market, the company said.

Schneider holds an M.B.A. degree in marketing and strategic management from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management and a B.S.M.E. degree from the University of Minnesota Institute of Technology. He is trained and experienced in lean manufacturing and has served as a Minnesota Council for Quality evaluator.
