AP&C adds three powder reactors

Montreal-based AP&C, a powder manufacturing subsidiary of Arcam AB, has added capacity by building three new atomizing reactors. The new capacity increase follows a surge in demand for the company’s titanium powders, used in additive manufacturing.

According to the company, its plasma technology converts raw material to powder with excellent flowability, density, chemistry, and traceability. The build-out will give the company a capacity of at least 500 tons/year.
