ArcelorMittal announces plans to open Detroit manufacturing plant
ArcelorMittal Tailored Blanks, a subsidiary of Luxembourg steel producer ArcelorMittal, has announced plans to open a 317,000-sq.-ft. manufacturing plant in Detroit. The facility will produce high-strength, laser-welded steel blanks for the auto industry.
The $83 million project is expected to create 120 jobs by 2021.
