MPIF opens registration for introductory PM short course
Metal Powder Industries Federation (MPIF) has opened registration for its Basic Powder Metallurgy (PM) Short Course, which will be held Aug. 15 – 17, 2016, at Penn State Conference Center Hotel, State College, Pa.
The program will feature nearly three full days of programming focusing on an introduction to PM for people new to the industry and for those working in specialized fields seeking to broaden their knowledge.
Attendees will learn about the history, current practice, and the future of PM; applications that use PM parts; how to design for PM; how metal powders are produced; designs for compacting tools; secondary operations; MPIF standards and tests; metal injection molding; and 3-D printing.
