MSCI honors Sen. Joe Manchin for commitment to metals industry
The Metals Service Center Institute (MSCI), Rolling Meadows, Ill., has presented its Congressional Leadership Award to Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va.) in recognition of his work on behalf of the metals industry.
“In particular, Sen. Manchin is a leader on energy issues. He understands an all-of-the-above energy policy is necessary to keep U.S. manufacturers competitive globally, and we are grateful for his votes to approve the Keystone XL Pipeline and to oppose costly Environmental Protection Agency emissions rules,” said MSCI Vice President of Finance and Government Affairs Jonathan Kalkwarf.
MSCI established its Congressional Leadership Award in 2005 to recognize elected representatives who demonstrate a commitment to the health and well-being of its members—the industrial metals supply chain—and its members’ manufacturing customers.
