Steel Market Development Institute issues call for abstracts

The Steel Market Development Institute has issued a call for abstracts for technical presentations at the 15th Annual Great Designs in Steel seminar, taking place May 11, 2016, at Laurel Manor Conference Center in Livonia, Mich.

The event comprises more than 35 technical presentations and 25 displays on the subject of automotive steels. Engineering, design, technology, policy, and academic leaders will provide information and insight into steel industry trends and applications in new cars and trucks.

The all-day, multitrack program will feature industry topics including advanced high-strength steels, automotive safety, and manufacturing technologies while discussing the lightweighting, affordability, durability, and sustainability benefits of steel.

Abstracts should be 200 to 300 words, present facts that are new and significant, and include results achieved, if applicable. Abstracts, including paper title, author name(s), mailing address, telephone numbern and e-mail address should be submitted by Thursday, Dec. 10, 2015.
