Nucor hires international business development GM

Nucor Corp. today announced that Richard Wechsler is joining the company as general manager of international business development. In his new position, Mr. Wechsler will report to Joe Rutkowski, executive vice president of business development international and North America.

Wechsler will be leaving his current position as president of Castrip LLC, but will assist with the transition of Castrip LLC to new leadership. Castrip LLC is a joint venture company of Nucor, BlueScope Steel Ltd. of Australia, and IHI of Japan.

A graduate of Princeton University (B.S.E '68) and Lehigh University (M.B.A. '72), Wechsler previously has held executive positions with Bethlehem Steel, BHP (Australia), and SSAB (Sweden). He was appointed president of Castrip LLC at its formation in March 2000.
