Hypertherm opens on-site wellness center with nursing staff

Hypertherm, a plasma arc metal cutting technology supplier in Hanover, N.H., in partnership with Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC), has launched an initiative aimed at helping the company's more than 1,000 associates live healthier lives.

At the heart of the initiative is a new wellness center, located at Hypertherm and staffed with two DHMC nurses. The center opened Feb. 13.

Center hours are weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with the exception of Thursday, when a nurse staffs the center from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. It operates on both a walk-in and appointment basis with no co-pay required, and the company does not have access to its associates' medical records.

In addition to the wellness center, Hypertherm is enhancing its overall fitness programs, stepping up its health education programs, and partnering with Vital Communities to bring fresh produce to the company.
