BIG Kaiser breaks ground on new facility

BIG Kaiser Precision Tooling Inc., a supplier of high-precision tooling systems, has announced the groundbreaking of a new corporate headquarters in Hoffman Estates, Ill. The company and all of its employees, along with Hoffman Estates Village Officials, celebrated the beginning of construction with an official groundbreaking ceremony on April 24. The new facility will be nearly three times larger than the current BIG Kaiser headquarters, and will feature a state-of-the-art facility for administration, application engineering, inventory, testing, and training.

The new 5,000-sq.-ft. showroom will feature extensive tooling and demonstration displays from the company's complete product lineup. In-house machining centers will allow the showroom to double as a resource center for customer demos and training. The facility also will house a high-tech classroom for advanced product training and presentations.

"This is a significant and necessary investment for our company," said BIG Kaiser President Chris Kaiser. "BIG Kaiser is dedicated to delivering superior tooling solutions and engineering support to its customers. This new facility will give us the floor space, resources and technology to truly support our commitment to our customers and this industry's future."

Office space in the new facility will be nearly three times that of the current facility. Warehouse space is well over 10,000 sq. ft., with an additional 10,000 sq. ft. available for future expansion. All of this additional space will support the company's future growth in expanded internal resources of sales, administration, and engineering.

"Our high level of service and engineering support are very important to our customers. This facility will create new energy and new capacity," Kaiser continued. "We are excited about our future and thankful to our employees and all others who have gotten us to this point."

BIG Kaiser will be operating from this new site at 2600 Huntington Blvd., Hoffman Estates, Ill., before the end of the year and will be in a location closer to its machine tool builder partners.
